INVITATION FOR CANDIDATES OF THE ALUMNI MANAGER ELECTION, SUSPENSION OF ADMISSION OF NEW MEMBERS AND APPOINTMENT TO THE ADJUDICATION COMMITTEE

The   Executive Committee invites candidates of the Alumni Manager Election to be conducted by the Alumni Association.

Admission to the Alumni Association’s membership will be suspended from 8 April 2021.

The  Executive Committee has appointed 5 Voting Members to the Adjudication Committee.

Under the constitution of the School’s IMC, the term of office of the current Alumni Manager in the school’s IMC will end on 31 August 2021. As such, The Alumni Association will nominate a person for registration with the Education Bureau as Alumni Manager for the next term. Unless uncontested, the Alumni Association’s nomination shall be based on the result of an election (the “Alumni Manager Election”) expected to be conducted by the Alumni Association in mid-2021.The nomination and Alumni Manager Election

Invitation for candidates

The Executive Committee invites candidates at the Alumni Manager Election. A circular giving information on the School’s IMC, Alumni Managership, eligibility to candidature and steps to be taken by interested parties will be uploaded to the Alumni Association’s web site at www.bhjsalumni.com.

Suspension of admission of new members

Candidature at the Alumni Manager Election will be restricted to Voting Members (as defined in the Alumni Association’s Articles of Association) of the Alumni Association. Admission to the Alumni Association’s membership will be suspended from 8 April 2021 to 23 April 2021, both days inclusive. In the event that not more than one nomination is received by the Alumni Association by 21 April 2021, admission of new members will be resumed on 24 April 2021.

Appointment to the Adjudication Committee

An unsuccessful candidate at the Alumni Manager Election may appeal to the Alumni Association and such appeal shall be considered and dealt with by a panel constituted by 3 members of the Adjudication Committee.

            The Executive Committee has on 8 March 2021 appointed Ms. CHAN Yuk Ying Zoe, Ms. FUNG Wing Yee Phyllis, Mr. KWONG Yiu Keung, Ms. POON Po On Paula and Miss YIP Wai Shan to the Adjudication Committee. Each of Ms. CHAN Yuk Ying Zoe, Ms. FUNG Wing Yee Phyllis, Mr. KWONG Yiu Keung, Ms. POON Po On Paula and Miss YIP Wai Shan has individually undertaken to the Alumni Association that he/she will not participate in the Alumni Manager Election, either as a candidate, nominator or voter.
