Dear parents, students and friends of the BHJS community,
The BHJS community has just gone through a wonderful first quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year and I am deeply grateful to my dedicated team of teaching and non- teaching staff who have been putting in a concerted effort to nurture the holistic development of our students.
This year, BHJS has signed the 4Rs Mental Health Charter to enhance the mental health of our students. The 4Rs in the Charter cover four elements and objectives for promoting mental health. The 4Rs are:
Rest: Help students cultivate healthy habits including having enough rest, adequate sleep and leisure activities.
Relaxation: Teach students to take the time to relax, take care of their mental health and practise self-compassion.
Relationship: Strengthen the relationships and connections among students, teachers and students, as well as parents and children.
Resilience: Equip students to adapt to stress and setbacks in life, and teach students to deal with emotions, cope with stress and overcome challenges in life with a positive attitude.
We hope that through the implementation of various measures and activities to promote students' mental health and healthy habits, the overall healthy culture of our school will be further enhanced. We sincerely hope that parents could support the promotion of mental health by actively participating in parent education courses or parent-child activities to instill positivity in your children. Let's work together to enhance the wellbeing of the Jubileans!
As 2024 is drawing to a close, may I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Respectfully,
Ms. Vicky Law
Principal
